Meet the Multipals!

Meet Stu

This is Stu. He lives by the pond in the park. He kind of keeps to himself. It’s not because he’s mean, although he’s not especially friendly, either. He’s just not outgoing. I can’t say he has a lot of friends, but he doesn’t have a lot of enemies, either. No one really knows him very well. If you ask him why he doesn’t hang out with anyone, he won’t say anything, because Stu doesn’t talk. Can he talk? I don’t know. Maybe. But he doesn’t.

Meet Bree

This is Bree. She lives with her mom, dad, and sister. Bree loves to cook. She especially likes to try new recipes that she finds online. She sometimes tries creating her own recipes, too, and she has her friends try them. If they turn out really well, she posts them online herself. Sometimes Bree has trouble controlling her temper. She’s a lot better than she used to be. She is learning techniques to help her calm down when she gets angry, and they are working pretty well. I think.

Meet Forge

This is Forge. He’s a puppy, and he loves to play. He usually wanders around on his own, looking for someone or something to play with. Sometimes that causes problems, but everyone knows that puppies make messes and chew on things, and he’ll probably grow out of that. Someday.

Meet Vive

This is Vive. That’s short for Vivacious, which means “full of life.” Vive lives with her parents in an academically enriched environment. Her mom is a _________ (that means brain surgeon) and her dad is a _______ (that means rocket scientist). They encourage her to explore her world, meet lots of people, and learn something new every day. Vive loves science, technology, engineering, and math. She has a very large vocabulary, and when she gets excited, her words get longer and longer. Sometimes she uses such big words that her friends aren’t quite sure what she is trying to say. She doesn’t do it to show off; it’s just who she is. They understand that, so they don’t take offense. Everybody who knows Vive knows that she would never hurt anyone’s feelings on purpose.

Meet Slicks

That’s right. Slicks is a snake. Slicks is very good at soccer, which is his favorite sport. He practices all the time. He is a little nervous about trying new things, but he tries them anyway because he knows that life really is a series of adventures. When things go wrong, Slicks may need some time alone, but once he is rested, he is ready to try again.

Meet Deven

This is Deven. Deven is an alligator, and he is best friends with Slicks. Deven has great ideas sometimes, but they usually don’t work out the way he wants them to. He’s not very good at thinking things through, and that gets him into trouble. But everyone knows that Deven’s heart is in the right place, and he has lots of friends.

Meet Tate

Tate is a proper gentleman who always tries to do what is right. Most of the time you will find Tate at the candy store. He loves candy and he knows a lot about it. If you have any questions about a certain type of candy, just ask Tate. He probably knows what shelf it’s on in the candy store. And if you need recommendations, Nate knows what’s new and he’ll help you pick out something just right for you.

Meet Divine

This is Divine. She’s a princess, and she lives in the castle. Divine is very beautiful and very well-mannered. The only thing is, Divine has trouble understanding some things. She’s...let’s just say she’s not quite as quick as a Disney princess. But Divine is very kind, and her friends know that being kind is more important than being smart. Divine knows that her friends love her and accept her just as she is.

Heaven

These two angels represent heaven. They only appear in two stories: 11 x 11 and 11 x 12. That’s because there is a very simple trick for 11 times any whole number lower than 10. If you want to learn that trick, you can watch the 11’s trick video. These angels live in heaven and know everything about it. It’s their job to make sure things run smoothly for newcomers. If you ever go to heaven, be sure to tell them I said “hi.”

Meet the Two Elves

These are the two elves. They are twins, although they don’t look at all alike. The girl elf is what Vive calls “vertically challenged” (which means she is not very tall), while the boy elf is so tall that he has to walk around on his knees with his head bent over just to fit in these stories. The girl elf is an optimist--she always thinks everything will work out fine. The boy elf is a pessimist. He always thinks everything will go wrong. Even so, they get along pretty well. Their favorite pastime is playing in their fort in the woods near their home. That’s usually where you will find them.
